Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ expressed deep sorrow over the death of Himalaya Shamsher Rana, the first governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, and paid tribute to him. The Prime Minister expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and well-wishers.
The Prime Minister said through social media, “I offer my heartfelt condolences on the tragic death of Himalaya Shamsher Jabra, the first Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank at the age of 95. Expressing my deepest condolences to the entire bereaved family and well-wishers, I express my highest respect for his contribution to the nation.”
Rana, the founder governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and former finance secretary, passed away this morning during treatment.
